Role of the Journal

JAIES manages the processes of verifying, preserving, and disseminating scientific knowledge in accordance with international publishing standards. The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board are fully responsible for determining the aims and scope of the journal, managing the peer review process transparently and fairly, ensuring editorial independence, and protecting scientific integrity. Final decisions regarding the publication of articles are made by the Editor-in-Chief entirely based on scientific merit and ethical standards.

Aims & Scope

JAIES aims to publish peer-reviewed research articles based on scientific originality and interdisciplinary impact in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Edge Computing, and the Internet of Things. Our journal aims to present theoretical and applied research in these fields to the global scientific community.

Full-text original research articles, review articles, and short communications are accepted in our journal. Submitted articles must not have been published anywhere before, must not be under review in another journal, and must have original characteristics. Our journal is published regularly ... Article Processing Charge (APC): To maintain the open-access publishing model and manage editorial processes, a processing fee of 800 USD is requested for articles accepted for publication in our journal.

Audience

The target audience of the journal consists of academicians, engineers, experts, and graduate students conducting research in Artificial Intelligence, Edge Computing, Internet of Things, Distributed Systems, Machine Learning, and related sub-disciplines.

Peer Review Process

JAIES applies a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the scientific validity and quality of the articles. In this process, the identities of the authors and reviewers are kept strictly confidential from each other.

Every article that passes the preliminary evaluation is directed to at least two independent external reviewers determined according to their fields of expertise. The principles of reviewer assignment criteria, evaluation periods, and expanding the reviewer pool based on merit are guaranteed by our editorial policies. In case of differing opinions between two reviewers, the article is sent to a third reviewer or a field editor for the final decision.

Abstracting and Indexing

Our journal aims to maximize the visibility of scientific content on national and international platforms. The journal is indexed or under evaluation in the following databases:

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

JAIES adopts ethical behavior standards at every stage of the publication process. Our journal commits to full compliance with the "Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors" determined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). In addition, the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) are closely followed.

Declarations of conflicts of interest and data sharing policies are carried out according to international standards. For all qualitative or quantitative scientific research (surveys, interviews, etc.) requiring data collection from participants, it is mandatory to obtain Ethics Committee Approval and explicitly document this approval (name of the committee, approval date, and document number) in the methodology section of the article.

Plagiarism Policy

Our journal subjects all articles to plagiarism checking in accordance with publication ethics. The iThenticate software is used to check for plagiarism. Any article that exceeds the similarity rate limit or is found to contain plagiarism will be rejected outright.

Archival Policy

We use PORTICO as a third-party archiving service to ensure the long-term digital preservation of all published articles. In addition, our journal is a member of CrossRef, and a persistent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is assigned to each published article.

Open Access and Licensing Policy

JAIES is a fully open-access journal that supports the free flow of information. All published articles are open for free access, reading, and sharing under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) License, in accordance with international standards.

Ahead of Print (Early Access) Policy

Articles accepted after the completion of the peer review process are published online under the "Ahead of Print" model. These articles are considered fully published and can be cited as a reference source using their DOI numbers.

Advertisement Policy

Although advertisements are important for our journal to sustain its open-access structure, advertisements and promotions are strictly not included within the articles to avoid disrupting the integrity of scientific papers. We have strict ethical guidelines in place to ensure that the journal and its editorial content are not influenced by advertising.
